AANS Annual Convention Awards
AANS is pleased to offer awards to chapters and chapter leaders that have shown demonstrated excellence throughout the year. Awards will be given out at the Awards Banquet at the 61st Annual AANS Convention on Friday, October 21st from 6:30 - 7:00 pm.

Most Association Members to Pre-Register for Convention
This award is given to the school that has the highest percentage of students pre-registered for the AANS Annual Convention from start of online registration to closing date (July 1st, 2011 to Sept 20th, 2011). The percentage is based on the total AANS/NSNA membership. No submission is required for this award. AANS will determine the winner based on registration receipts.
Top State Project Fundraiser
This award is given to the school that collects and brings to the registration tables at Annual Convention the most pop tabs. This will be determined by weight. The award also takes into consideration the school that submits the most items for the silent auction. The procedes from the pop tab collection and the silent auction will go to The Ronald McDonald House Charities. No award submission is required for this award. AANS will determine the winner based fundraising receipts.
Chapter with Highest Percentage Increase in Membership
This award is given to the school in each of three levels that has the highest percentage increase in overall membership over the past year, from September 1, 2011 until September 1, 2012. No submission is required for this award. AANS will determine the winner based NSNA registration information.
Outstanding Chapter President Award
This award is given to recognize a Chapter President for outstanding leadership skills and accomplishments during their term. Successfulness in increasing memberships and implementing worthy community projects are a few of those activities desired for an outstanding leader.
This award is given to recognize the AANS officer who has demonstrated leadership and camaraderie among the officers and students within the state. An officer who has performed the designated task of the office beyond their duties and responsibilities will be acknowledged, in addition to personal accomplishments during their term.

Leader of Leaders Award
This award is given to the school chapter advisor for outstanding service to the school chapter, the AANS, the ANSA, and the NSNA. Successfulness in increasing membership, implementing worthy community, legislative, and Breakthrough to Nursing projects, promoting attendance at stat and national conventions, and promoting membership in ASNA for nursing graduates are a few of those activities desired for an outstanding advisor.
Outstanding Projects Awards
Awards will be given for the best Community Health Project, the best Breakthrough to Nursing Project, and the best Legislative Project.
Chapter of Champions Award
The Chapter of Champions Award is given each year to the school chapter that has demonstrated exemplary commitment to and involvment in AANS. There will be three awards given basedon the total enrollment of the nursing school in which the chapter is located. The categories are as follows: Silver Level (for enrollment of <90 students), Gold Level (for enrollment of 90-175 students), & Platinum Level (for enrollment of >175 students). The award will be determined by the school that accrues the most points in 10 categories that also submit the proper documentation.
