The purpose of Legislative Day is to encourage nurses of all specialties as well as student nurses to learn about our Alabama State Legislative process.
In addition, we will discuss issues that are currently being dealt with in the state of Alabama that have an impact on us as nurses now as well as in our futures.
It is a day for nurses and nursing students to band together, meet our legislative representatives and make an impact on Capitol Hill!
Legislative Day will help you become informed about the current issues in legislation and the laws that will impact our profession!

Legislative Day 2008 Summary
| The AANS Executive Board would like to extend a special THANK-YOU to all of those that participated in Legislative Day on February 19.
We had a great time in Montgomery and learned a lot about politics, ethics, and nursing. In addition, we discovered what legislative issues are going to affect the nursing profession both in Alabama and throughout the country.
It was truly an eye-opening experience. For those of you that missed it, make sure you join us NEXT February! |

If any students have any pictures they would like to share, please forward them to our Webmaster, who will then put them up on the website!
