Membership
AANS is a constituent member of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). Application for membership is made available through NSNA. Once a student signs up for membership through NSNA, he/she will automatically be a member of AANS as well.
Membership Levels
Active Member. Regular membership is offered to any student in Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate, generic Masters and generic Doctoral programs preparing students for Registered Nurse licensure, as well as RNs in BSN completion programs.
Associate Member. Prenursing students enrolled in college or university programs designed as preparation for entrance into a program leading to an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree in nursing are eligible for associate membership.
Sustaining Member. Sustaining membership in NSNA is open to corporations, agencies, schools, and individuals who do not qualify as nursing students. This special membership category offers opportunities to support the goals and purposes of NSNA.

Dues
Dues can be paid annually or for a two-year period. For new members, the annual dues in Alabama are $35. For renewal, the annual dues are $40. The two-year dues are a total of $70.
